In the seventh episode of our Funding the Future of Healthcare podcast series, we had a chance to chat with Mike McSherry, who is the CEO of Xealth, and Dan Galles, who is a Partner at Providence Ventures.

In this episode, our host, Pat McKay spoke with Mike and Dan to learn more about their backgrounds, and career paths in healthcare. We took a chance to elaborate on Xealth’s unique history and learn about how it was incubated and spun-out of the Providence St. Joseph Health System. The three also talked about Xealth’s purpose in healthcare, and how it serves as a tool for prescribing patient's digital solutions.

The two went on to dive into the importance of having strategic venture capital in health care, and how Providence Ventures’ guidance was essential for Xealth to be spun-out as its own successful company. Mike and Dan also touched on their relationship as a VC and entrepreneur and shared some advice with aspiring entrepreneurs looking to break into healthcare.
