In the eighth episode of our Funding the Future of Healthcare podcast series, we had a chance to chat with Leah Sparks, who is the CEO & Founder of Wildflower Health, and Aaron Martin, who is the Chief Digital Officer at Providence St. Joseph Health.

In this episode, our host Pat McKay spoke with Leah and Aaron to learn more about their backgrounds and career paths in healthcare. We took a chance to elaborate on Wildflower’s role in growing healthy families by creating long-term value, and learn about its acquisition of Providence’s Circle app, which is a tool spun-out of the Providence’s startup incubator. The three also talked about how the acquisition has augmented the company’s purpose in healthcare.

The two went on to dive into the importance of having strategic guidance, and how Circle was a natural fit to be integrated into Wildflower’s platform. Aaron and Leah also touched on their relationship throughout this transition and shared some advice with aspiring entrepreneurs looking to break into healthcare.
