In April 2017, Yamin Myo Nyunt, Head of Proximity School, represented Proximity Designs to attend the Skoll World Forum at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School.
Selected from many high-achieving young changemakers around the globe, Yamin was one of six speakers, and the only one from Myanmar, at the “Finding Common Ground” session at this year’s Forum. Each speaker shared personal stories on connecting diverse people and creating positive social impact. Yamin’s speech reflected on her upbringing in Yangon, her work devoted to staff training and development at Proximity Designs, and how we may help shape the education landscape in a country like Myanmar.
