As Peter Theil is accredited as having said, Trump’s supporters took him seriously but not literally and his opponents took him literally but not seriously.
Here’s what really went down; here is the ONLY issue, the INEQUALITY issue. It so completely and utterly overshadowed everything else. It was INVISIBLE throughout the entire campaign. It was so persistently and deliberately ignored by the media and so perfectly and succintly summed up by James Allworth in just a few short sentences back in June:
