Connecting Brands to Hearts and Minds: PRX at Podfront Virtual 2020
PRX welcomed “Snap Judgment” creator Glynn Washington to present an exploration of stories the world needs now from iconic shows and organizations such as The Moth, “99% Invisible,” “Latino USA,” and TEDx.

Last week, PRX participated in the Podfront Virtual 2020 event. It was an opportunity for PRX and other podcast publishers and networks to preview new content and discuss partnership opportunities with advertisers, marketers, and agencies.
While COVID-19 has impacted all aspects of life, podcasting remains immensely popular and important. Across the PRX platform, we’ve seen listening increase 24% since before pandemic times. Podcast advertising has also been more resistant than other media against the effects of COVID-19, in part due to its flexible formatting, which allows for quick pivots in ad messaging. According to the IAB, ad revenues for 2020 are projected to increase by 14.7%, reaching $1 billion.
In a sea of new podcast offerings, PRX’s portfolio continues to stand out in terms of its ability to connect brands to hearts and minds.
PRX’s network of shows represents one of the largest and most loyal audiences in the podcast industry, with more than 80 million podcast downloads each month. We’re regularly ranked as one of the top 5 networks, according to Podtrac. But it’s not just the network’s scale — our audio content is anchored in incredible storytelling, strengthened with a diverse set of voices, and amplified by innovative technology.

PRX was proud to present a 20-minute video with our exclusive sales partner, Market Enginuity, to Podfront Virtual participants. In the presentation, Snap Judgment host and creator Glynn Washington presented an exploration of stories the world needs now from iconic shows and organizations such as The Moth, “99% Invisible,” “Latino USA,” and TEDx, to new shows from best-selling authors and public personalities Nadia Bolz-Weber (“The Confessional”) and Kelly Corrigan (“Kelly Corrigan Wonders”).
We also unveiled more from TRAX from PRX, the first-of-its-kind podcast network for tweens, and a new audio partnership with Emmy Award-winning sports media company Religion of Sports. We also announced the return of “Passenger List,” the highly acclaimed mystery thriller from the Radiotopia podcast network.
