Earth Rangers is a Canadian kids’ conservation organization wirh over 175,000 members, dedicated to educating children and their families about biodiversity, inspiring them to adopt sustainable behaviors and empowering them to become directly involved in protecting animals and their habitats.

Now, the team is bringing the mission of Earth Rangers into the world of podcasting. Out today from Gen-Z Media, The Earth Rangers Podcast is a one-of-a-kind series geared towards kids ages 6–12, offering wild and colorful insights into nature’s biggest mysteries. The show is hosted by Toronto-based actress Lee Lawson, an aspiring wildlife biologist called “Earth Ranger Emma”, combining exciting animal facts and inspiring conservation stories, plus candid conversations with scientists and researchers to create a fun and educational audio program.

In the six-episode first season, Earth Ranger Emma visits species hotspots — and cold spots — around the world in search of answers to some of nature’s biggest mysteries, guided by wild curiosity and a love for animals and the environment. From bees and butterflies to polar bears, penguins and whales, this natural super-sleuth leads kids of all ages on an epic journey throughout the season.

In episode 1, join Earth Ranger Emma as she travels to Antarctica to meet everyone’s favorite flightless birds, penguins. Then she goes up to the Arctic to talk to a polar bear scientist and learn why polar bears look white, despite having black skin.

Episode 2

Earth Ranger Emma counts down the world’s top 10 biggest cats, and she ventures into a bat cave to learn about these unique flying mammals. What do bats and whales have in common? You’ll find out!

Episode 3

While investigating how animals survive the winter, Earth Ranger Emma finds out that hibernation might be more than just a four-month power nap. Listeners will also figure out exactly who is behind the series of high-pitched night time toots that have everything from worms, crayfish, rats and bats on the lookout.

Episode 4

Seeing what the buzz is all about takes Earth Ranger Emma straight to the queen bee — and then into the heart of plant-powering pollination. Emma then takes to the sky for a winged showdown between two of this planet’s maddest birds of prey. Find out who’s the top talon!

Episode 5

Emma looks into how animals are dealing with the planet-wide conundrum that's being caused by climate change. She’ll embark on an epic migration with sea turtles, and also check in with snowshoe hares to learn why they’re asking “do I wear the brown coat or the white?”

Episode 6

Emma visits a wetland and discovers what’s behind one of nature’s most amazing transformations as she follows the incredible life cycle of a frog. And searching for a prince, she finds out which species of frog is the best to kiss.
