Welcome to Night Vale is a twice-monthly fictional podcast presented as a radio show. The episodes are done in the style of community updates from the small desert town of Night Vale. It features local weather, news, announcements from the Sheriff’s Secret Police, mysterious lights in the night sky, dark hooded figures with unknowable powers and cultural events. The show has grown to have a cult following, and has produced sold-out live shows across the globe, multiple novels and an audiobook, plus a multitude of fan fiction, fanscripts, fan art and cosplay. A television adaptation on FX is also currently in the works.

From Meg Bashwiner, co-host of Good Morning Night Vale, tour director at Night Vale Presents, and the Proverb Lady and voice of Deb on Welcome to Night Vale:

“Making Good Morning Night Vale is such a treat. We are so excited to share this show with Welcome to Night Vale fans and engage them in conversation. The recording sessions have been hilarious, super weird and thought provoking in a way that only the phenomenally brilliant and weird subject matter can inspire. At times, the conversations feel like we are chatting and joking with each other from the comfort of backstage greenroom before a live show, other times it feels like we are in a Welcome to Night Vale symposium dissecting the storytelling structure and themes. Symphony, Hal and I look forward to inviting new and old Welcome to Night Vale fans into our fun and thoughtful behind-the-scenes, in-depth discussions, not to mention our bizarre tangents that show off what the inside of our strange minds look like.”
