(Boston, MA; October 23, 2019) — Pioneering public media organization PRX is pleased to announce Emie Michaud Weinstock as Director of Brand Marketing beginning Thursday, October 24. In addition, Kevin Cooney has been named Director of Digital Fundraising.

With years of experience in mission-based marketing, including building partnerships, community engagement and event design, Michaud Weinstock will drive the positioning of PRX initiatives to audiences both online and in person, and will implement brand strategies for a growing portfolio of award-winning programming.

Michaud Weinstock

Previously, Michaud Weinstock spearheaded campaigns at ReveledUp, an experiential marketing firm for mission-driven organizations and nonprofits. A skilled communicator, Michaud-Weinstock has also served as a management consultant for Fidelity Investments and as an attorney for Greater Boston Legal Services.

“From programming that makes you pause and lean in, to Podcast Garages in Boston and Washington D.C. for producers of all experience levels, to innovative technology, PRX is building an exciting future for audio,” said Donna Hardwick, Chief Marketing Officer at PRX. “Emie has deep experience bringing brands to life while also building community and making meaningful connections. We’re so excited for her to join us in this new role on our marketing team.”

“I’m thrilled to join PRX’s marketing team,” said Michaud Weinstock. “I can’t wait to dive in and advance the mission of audio innovation and inclusively opening public media to new voices.”

Also announced today: Cooney comes to PRX from WERS in Boston (88.9 FM), New England’s first non-commercial radio station, where he oversaw annual giving, major gifts and underwriting efforts and a record year for membership in 2019. Cooney will implement digital fundraising strategies and campaigns at PRX, including for the Radiotopia podcast network, and will help draw the more expansive blueprint for the future of giving for PRX.

Kevin Cooney

“It’s exciting to join such a dynamic, innovative organization,” said Cooney. “I’m looking forward to supporting the incredible audio journalists, storytellers and creators at PRX.”

“Kevin has engaged with listeners and shepherded support for a beloved Boston station with diverse programming heard around the country,” said Gina James, Senior Director of Development at PRX. “Kevin has the perfect combination of experience and innovation in an ecosystem that requires someone who’s adaptive, experimental and intuitive. We’re thrilled he’s now our colleague. The PRX development team is highly ambitious and equally creative — he’s truly a perfect addition.”
