2022 Pulitzer Prize-winning nonprofit public media organization PRX is pleased to welcome the election of Rachel Felix to its Board of Directors, the company announced today.

“As an engine of innovation in public media and audio, we’re fortunate to serve as partners to many of the most accomplished and creative audio creators in the world,” said Kerri Hoffman, CEO of PRX. “Rachel is a transformative leader, community builder, and communicator. We’re thrilled to welcome her to our board.”

A seasoned brand strategist and leader across industries including media and healthcare, Rachel Felix is the former Head of Brand Management at Mass General Brigham in Boston, one of the leading academic medical centers in the United States. There, Felix led integration, rebrand, and awareness efforts across the largest healthcare system in New England, stewarding the organization’s first national and local brand awareness campaigns. Prior, Felix served a 15-year career at ViacomCBS — now Paramount — including as Senior Vice President of Content Distribution and Marketing. Serving in a partnership marketing capacity for iconic media brands such as Nickelodeon, MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, and BET, Felix created and oversaw strategic cross-platform campaigns.

A resident of Boston, Felix is also a co-founder of Dorchfest, a community music festival in the neighborhood of Dorchester, and serves on the Board of Women’s Lunch Place, an advocacy center in Boston dedicated to helping women in need.

“I’m thrilled to join PRX’s Board of Directors. Coming from the content distribution space and being dedicated to diversity and inclusion, I’m passionate about amplifying underrepresented voices through authentic storytelling,” said Felix. “Connecting these voices to those who need to hear them is the ultimate goal, and I look forward to working with PRX and the Board to continue this mission.”

Felix joins PRX board members Steven Bass, Henry Becton, Jr., Kathy Chan, Dodee Frost Crockett, Jené Elzie, Kathryn Finney, Betsy Gardella, Richard Gingras, Rima Hyder, Michael Isip, Tanya Jones, Dan Lothian, Kyra McGrath, Dete Meserve, Ashton Peery, Daniel Routman, Edward Schneider, Umang Shah, Daniel Shih, Lawrence Wilkinson, Judy Woodruff, Rishi Jaitly, and Kyle Reis. Jaitly and Reis were appointed to the Board in February.

In addition to a Pulitzer Prize honor, PRX was recently named one of the 10 most innovative media companies, by “Fast Company.” Visit PRX.org for more.
