Radiotopia from PRX Announces Spring 2021 Release for Season Two of ‘Passenger List,’ the Mystery Thriller Podcast Starring Kelly Marie Tran
The podcast is being produced for television by Weimaraner Republic Pictures’ Lynn Harris and Matti Leshem with WBTV
The Radiotopia podcast network and Peabody Award-winning creator John Scott Dryden today announced a new season of the acclaimed fictional mystery thriller podcast “Passenger List.” Season two will premiere free to audiences in spring 2021.
Actress Kelly Marie Tran (“Raya and the Last Dragon”; “The Croods: A New Age”) will return to “Passenger List” in the role of Kaitlin Le, a college student whose twin brother vanished with Atlantic Flight 702 along with 256 passengers on board. Suspicious of the official version of events, Kaitlin pursues her own reality-bending investigation.
The creative team from season one of the podcast — including creator, co-writer and co-director John Scott Dryden (“Tumanbay”; “LifeAfter”), co-writer and co-director Lauren Shippen (“The Bright Sessions”; Marvel), and sound designer Mark Henry Phillips (“Homecoming”; “Serial”) — will also return.
“Passenger List” debuted in September 2019. Named one of the year’s best dramatic podcasts of the year by The Guardian, “Passenger List” was the recipient of a 2020 Webby People’s Voice award in fiction, and received international honors from the 2020 BBC Audio Drama Awards, the 2020 Audio & Radio Industry Awards, and the 2020 British Podcast Awards. Season one also starred Patti LuPone (“Sweeney Todd”), Colin Morgan (“The Fall”), and Rob Benedict (“Supernatural”), and is available now across Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and podcast listening platforms.
