Created and directed by John Scott Dryden, ‘Passenger List’ season 2 also stars Ben Daniels, Patti LuPone, Rob Benedict, and Colin Morgan
The audio trailer for the new season is available today. New episodes of the eight-episode series will be released on Mondays from May 10 through June 21, available free on-demand across podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, and Amazon Music.
In season two of “Passenger List,” the mystery of Flight 702 continues. Wreckage has been found in the North Atlantic, but when Katlin Le — played by Kelly Marie Tran (“Raya and the Last Dragon”) — a student whose twin brother vanished along with 256 passengers on board, and who has given up everything in her quest to discover the truth about what happened, gets a call from one of the passengers, she herself disappears. Rory Murray — played by Ben Daniels (“The Crown”), a morally compromised aviation lawyer, is drawn into a search that leads to a mind-bending journey into the darkest corners of society.
“Passenger List” season 2 also stars Patti LuPone (“Sweeney Todd”) in the role of Mia the Psychic Witch, Rob Benedict (“Supernatural”) in the role of FBI agent Jim Dennision, Colin Morgan (“Merlin”) in the role of Thomas, and more. The creative team includes executive producers John Scott Dryden and Kelly Marie Tran, music by Mark Henry Phillips (“Homecoming”), editing and sound design by Steve Bond (“Life After”) with Adam Woodhams, production by Emma Hearn (“The Cipher”), story editing by Mike Walker (“Tumanbay”), writing by John Scott Dryden (“The Cipher”), Sara Lotz (“Missing Person”), Lauren Shippen (“The Bright Sessions”), Mark Henry Phillips, Janina Matthewson (“You Feel It Just Below The Ribs”), and Meghan Fitzmartin (“The College Tapes”).
“There was so much love for the first season of ‘Passenger List,’” said Dryden. “It’s been a privilege to work again with Kelly and the incredible cast, and with the amazing Radiotopia team to bring the audience season two, which, I can reveal, will definitively answer the question everyone is asking: what happened to Flight 702?”
“We’ve been counting down the days to the launch of season two of ‘Passenger List,’” said Julie Shapiro, executive producer of Radiotopia from PRX, a podcast network featuring extraordinary independent creators. “Listeners from season one have been clamoring for more, and will no doubt be drawn deeply into the continued rich narrative, complex characters, and immersive, addictive sounds of season two.”
