“Reveal” and PRX Win 2024 Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award for Radio
“The writers, photographers, artists, and producers who tell these stories are critical to preserving democracy and protecting human rights”
Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights announced 2024 winners in the prestigious RFK Book and Journalism Awards. The winner in radio is the investigative public radio show and podcast Reveal from the Center for Investigative Reporting/Mother Jones and brought to listeners everywhere by public media organization PRX.
The winning radio investigation “Hidden Confessions of the Mormon Church” — a joint project with the Associated Press — provides “an unprecedented look at the methods the Mormon church uses to keep child sexual abuse cases secret.” The reporting team includes Michael Montgomery, Michael Rezendes, Jason Dearen, Brett Myers, and Tom Berman.
Additional winners in the 2024 RFK Book and Journalism Awards include The Marshall Project, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Mother Jones, The Outlaw Ocean Project, and FRONTLINE.
The RFK Book and Journalism Awards were founded in 1969 by the reporters who covered Robert F. Kennedy’s 1968 presidential campaign. Honoring outstanding reporting on human rights, social justice, and the power of individual action in the U.S. and around the world, Robert F.
