The Heart Named a Peabody Awards Finalist!

We are so excited to share The Heart has been named a Peabody Award finalist in the radio/podcast category for their “Silent Evidence” series. According to their website, The Peabody Awards Board of Jurors selected 60 finalists that represent the most compelling and empowering stories released in electronic media during 2016.

“Silent Evidence” is a four-part series centering around the story of journalist Tennessee Watson, who confronts her childhood sexual abuser. It is gripping, sad, and an interesting look into how the justice system works. Tennessee is a moving narrator, and The Heart team creates sound-rich, compelling audio. The award winners and finalists will be announced on Saturday, May 20.

The Heart is a show created by Kaitlin Prest about love, life, bodies and feelings. With rich sound design, intimate subject matter and a critical lens, the stories on this show ask the important question of our era: What is love?
