Song of The Naked Bride

A Poem To The Laodicean Church Within Us All

Every day, the finest of garments
Are laid out for me to wear
And a dresser is ready to style my hair
Jewels of great envy to be laid upon my head
Because it is to You that I am wed.

But how many of those days
Do I forget
And live a life of regret
Naked as can be
Proclaiming my own prosperity.

Oh King of Heaven
Lover of my soul
Dress me. Dress me. Dress me.

Revelations 3: 17–19: You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. So I advise you to buy gold from me — gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.Isaiah 55: 1-2: Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters;
and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare.
