A coming.
An arrival.
Something approaching that we…

Anticipate

Something appearing for which we…

Wait

How?
How do we wait?
What are we actually waiting for?
What are we…

Expecting

The approach,
ㅤthe Advent of…

Jesus

What do we expect him to bring?
Do we get caught up in the rush?
Or do we settle into,

Hush

Do we recognize,
ㅤdo we pause to feel,
The hush of the approaching…

Do we remember,
ㅤdo we realize,

A gift given through his presence.
A gift given through his actions.
A gift given through his son.

Resting in his hope refreshes us.
It lifts us.
It carries us though our weariness.
It renews our hearts and spirits.

His hope fills our emptiness.
Fills us with peace.
Fills us with joy.

His hope frees us.
Frees us to live in peace,
ㅤand to share that peace.
Frees us to live in joy,
ㅤand to share that joy.
His hope frees us to simply…

Live well
