Do You Believe Me Now?

Steve Frank

I believe.
Yet I don’t.
I live as if I don’t.
I live unchanged,
ㅤ still eating from the same plate,
Drinking from the same bowl.

I just need a little more evidence.
Absolute proof.
That you exist.
That you are real.
That you…

Care.

Then I will submit to change.
Work to change.
Cry out for more change.

But Lord, already you have shown me so much.
Offered so much.
Yet I resist.
I drift on down the same rutted path.

Lord, today I will live like I truly believe.
I will climb out of my rut.
Step off my familiar, comfortable path.
And follow you.

Lord, today I will follow you.
