Desperation

Desperate.
Not knowing what to do.
Where to turn.
Unable to tell up from down.
Backwards from forwards.

Lost.

Lord, when I’m at my most desperate…
When I have no idea what’s coming next…
No way of escaping my present,
ㅤ or avoiding my future…
I can do only one thing.
I have only one thing.
I have only you.
I can think only of you.
Turn only to you.
Lord, in those days of desperation,
ㅤ I give myself to you.
I let go.
I give up the control I think I should have,
ㅤ and I give everything to you.
Lord, only when I release myself to you am I finally free.
Lord, grant me your freedom today.
