Know It All
Knowledge is useful.
At times, necessary.
Important.
But can knowledge prove love?
Our relationship with,
ㅤ connection to,
Another, is not fully defined by knowledge.
We know things about them…
They about us…
But our tie is more than this.
It is built on experience.
Things we do together.
Things we go through together.
With experiences our trust is proven true or false.
Our relationship reflects this.
While we may seek to understand another,
ㅤ we also seek to spend time together.
This,
ㅤ more than knowledge,
Determines our relationship.
With God it is,
ㅤ it should be,
The same.
If we seek only knowledge of God,
ㅤ he will remain distant.
Impersonal.
We may explain things about him,
ㅤ but we won’t know him.
Knowing God requires time together.
Experiences on which to base a relationship.
A history of things he has done with us and for us.
The growth we’ve experienced by spending time with him.
These are the things that enable us to know God.
Lord, today I seek time with you.
I pursue experiences with you.
For I desire to know,
ㅤ truly know,
You.
