A Light Load

Steve Frank

My view,
ㅤ my perspective,
Is imperfect.
Biased.

I feel burdened,
ㅤ as if I carry a heavier load.
Others seem carefree,
ㅤ living an easy life.
Living the good life.

I underestimate the burdens of others.
In ignorance,
ㅤ I assume I suffer more.
Carry more.
That I endure it graciously.

Yet others have their own burdens,
ㅤ so often unknown…
Invisible to me.
And still they walk with grace.

Lord, today give me perspective.
Your perspective.
Your vision.
Help me see myself as I am to you…
Tested yet blessed.
Weary yet lifted.
Alone yet loved.
Lord, help me to live today,
ㅤ not with a focus on my burdens,
But rather with a vision for your love.
