In an era where social interactions often succumb to digital distraction or hectic time constraints, the notion of “micro-moments of connection” underscores how even brief, thoughtful gestures of kindness can profoundly enhance social bonds and psychological well-being (Fowler & Christakis, 2010). Far from requiring elaborate demonstrations of affection or extended time commitments, these small acts — like a spontaneous compliment, a shared smile, or an unsolicited helping hand — foster mutual appreciation and uplift the emotional tenor of everyday life (Fredrickson, 2013). Beyond transient pleasantries, such micro-moments deepen interpersonal trust, stimulate positive affect, and can even catalyze wider communal impacts by prompting recipients to pay kindness forward (Pressman et al., 2015).
