Is Validation Useful in a Development Circle?

Recently I noticed something occurring in development circles that before two years ago, I had never seen before. It is the validation from one circle member to another after they had shared a message from spirit. Let me give you an example:

Jack: I’m receiving a message for Rena. Rena, your grandmother is with you, she wants you to know that she is proud of you and the work that you are doing. She also said to keep writing and using your water colors.

Jill: Rena, I can validate Jack’s message. I also felt a grandmother energy around you. The message I received was to remind you to put the bird feeder back up outside.

In this scenario, Jill felt the need to validate Jack’s message. However, the only person who can truly validate a message is the one who receives it. This also creates the illusion that in order for a message to carry weight, someone else in the circle needs to validate it, which is not true.

From my experience, development circles are a safe place where we can work with other like-minded people to continually develop our talents and abilities channeling messages from the universe (Divine, spirit world, universal energies, etc.). These messages do not need to be validated, just shared. By sharing what we receive, we allow the flow of information to move through us, acting as the channel.

In some situations, when a family member or loved one (including pets) comes through, the circle member receiving the message may be able to validate it by acknowledging that they know who we are referring to. But it is not necessary. Validation is for the ego, not the soul. Our job as psychics, mediums, and healers is to channel the message we receive. No applause necessary.

Does it feel good when the recipient knows who or what we are talking about? Yes! But in a development circle it is about the continued development of working with the universe that is important. We are there to learn to trust what we receive, and build the self-confidence to share it. By having another circle member say, “I can validate that message,” it can take away from the experience, giving the impression that the message was questionable or invalid to begin with. It can also take away from the purpose of sitting in a development circle, which is “to trust and channel the messages that we receive.”

If more than one circle member receives a message from the same spirit for the same person, they just need to be patient and take their turn to share it. Here is an example:

Jack: I’m receiving a message for Rena. Rena, your grandmother is with you, she wants you to know that she is proud of you and the work that you are doing. She also said to keep writing and using your water colors.

Allow a short pause to ensure that Jack’s message is complete.

Jill: Rena, I also felt a grandmother energy around you. The message I received was to remind you to put the bird feeder back up outside.

By allowing the short pause, Jill provides the space for Jack to deliver his message. By sharing what she received, she builds her self confidence by allowing herself to trust the information. One circle member gets two messages, and two circle members gained practice trusting and sharing the information that they received. Win, win, win!

Hugs!
