• What is this test all about:
PTE Academic is a 3 hours test of your command over the English Language where a computer scores students. All the question types focus on aspects of English proficiency. Additionally, the test provides insights on the enabling skills like Oral Fluency, Grammar, Vocabulary, Written Discourse, Pronunciation and Spelling.

• PTE Academic Scoring:
Pearson uses automated scoring technology to score the candidate on the scale from 10–90 and across all skills. Pearson’s 10–90 scales are based on the Global Scale of English.
Automated scoring is widely accepted because human marking is influenced by many factors like examiner tiredness, mood, etc. whereas automated scoring is indifferent to a test taker’s personality or appearance. It also allows individual parts of language to be analysed independently.
