We have a lot of digitalization waves in 2018, and Lviv IT Arena is one of them. Occuring for 5 years, the conference has united hundreds of the world’s influencers and brightest minds in the city of Lviv, Ukraine. The organizers of the event decided to aim at at the Ukrainian and at the European tech scene. They successfully did it! They gathered more than 3,300 IT specialists in one place from September 28th to September 30th. This year, representatives of several companies spoke at the event: eBay, Google, Samsung, Microsoft, SAP, SoundCloud, Grammarly, TechStars, etc. The main language of communication and performances was English. The numbers give us the belief the conference changed not only quantitatively but also qualitatively.

Catch the moment and dive into the IT ocean

This event was divided into the four streams, Business, Product, Technology and Startup, and to pleasantly surprise the guests, the IT Arena 2018 introduced a Startup Track uniting cybersecurity specialists, business owners, top managers, investors, and dozens of startups from Ukraine and throughout Europe. All participants had the opportunity to present their ideas at the Startup Competition. More than 50 successful startups vied with each other in this battle and PublBox was one of them. See how our Head of Social Media rocked the stage. The winners received $10,000, as well as the opportunity to go to Silicon Valley for a special program created by Startup Embassy.

The main issues which the tracks raised are:

  • Technology

Many hot topics were presented starting from data science and artificial intelligence, mobile and wearables, large-scale systems, bioinformatics, Internet of things and services. There were a series of workshops and bootcamps to get practical close-ups on the topics above, where you can try to build a small piece of the bright shining future today.

  • Business

In the area of affordable technologies, capturing customer attention is becoming harder and harder. Companies are competing in customers’ minds rather than in labs. How should people act to prove they are the best and their services are the winning solutions in this worldwide race? Those questions were raised during the event.

  • Product

This stream has covered general product development topics as service design, design thinking, and transition to a product company. In addition, business analysis topics, enterprise analysis, quality assurance, mobile development, web development, project management trends as well as branding, data visualization and other topics of interest were discussed.

  • Startup

What are the typical mistakes of startups, where to find investors, how to create a successful product from scratch and promote it through different channels? Answers were presented in this stream.
