PublBox took part in the largest technology conference in Europe for the third time. This time around, more than 70,000 participants from 159 countries attended Web Summit. The company’s CEO, CMO, Product Manager, Head of Sales, and Head of Social Media attended the summit.

“Each of us had a clear work plan and a particular area of responsibility at the conference, because, after last year’s participation, we knew: in Lisbon, you have to use every minute efficiently, and in order to be the most effective, you need to know why are you there and what are you going to do,” PublBox CEO Alex Stefanovic said.

In 2018, the PublBox booth was introduced in the BETA category.

This year, 1,800 early-stage companies attended Lisbon, and PublBox was included in the Shortlist of the top 160 startups that competed in PITCH Competition. As part of the competition, PublBox held a pitch in front of an international jury and investors.

“The first day at Web Summit was the most intense. Our team presented the product at the BETA booth, and I also gave a pitch presentation of PublBox at the PITCH Stage 3. This year we joined the shortlist of startups. This is a unique experience that has become a great opportunity for us to present our service at the world’s largest IT conference,” PublBox Head of Social Media Ksenia Khirvonina noted

Moreover, PublBox organized a special press tour for journalists on a boat. The journalists from The Economist Global Business Review, Lisbon Media, Forbes Russia, Bloggers España, Storytelling4Tech, EU-Startups, MC Today, and other media had an opportunity to learn about the automated scheduling service and discussed current trends in the development of social media in an informal setting while watching the sunset.

“In addition to the three main activities: booth, pitch, press tour — we had another major goal. We needed to find partners for promoting our service. We held a series of negotiations with potential partners to enter the European and Asian markets in Lisbon. The negotiations were successful and will be finalized soon. Also, we had numerous meetings with digital agencies from all over the world. Now we are exploring all opportunities for attracting the agencies to start promoting our product,” PublBox CMO Oleg Spivakov said summarizing the results of the summit.

He added Web Summit was a super efficient platform for networking, searching for new ideas and expanding the contact base. Top management for global companies is available right at the booths, and you can talk, for example, with the Vice President of Amazon while waiting in line for coffee.

Other members of the PublBox team were also involved in searching for potential partners.

PublBox Product Manager Eugene Dyachenko stated, “I was interested in the integration partners, as well as the partners in product development and expansion. We are aware of AI and Machine Learning, as well as purely technical solutions that we can apply to our service. For example, using Adobe library for image processing or using a third-party service for filtering “undesirable content.”

Maxim Zadontsev, Head of the Sales Department:

“There were interesting contacts with companies and government agencies from Portugal, Pakistan, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, UK, Brazil, and more. As of today, positive responses have already been received for our partnership proposals from two companies from Pakistan and Portugal.”

The CEO of the company held talks with 3 investment funds and several accelerators, representatives of social media and potential partners interested in the PublBox product.

“It was busy 4 days, and I’m grateful to our whole team: the one that was working directly in Lisbon, and those who are actively working on product development in the offices of our company. The contribution of each is crucial and lets us look to the future with optimism, since the meetings and negotiations at Web Summit have revealed a genuine interest in our service,” PublBox CEO Alex Stefanovic commented.
