PUBLISH FIVE, the platform that celebrates concise and impactful storytelling, thrives on the contributions of our diverse community of writers. We value the unique perspectives, insights, and experiences each writer brings to our platform. To maintain the quality and relevance of the content we publish, we’ve established submission rules that guide our editorial process.
RULES:
- Articles must be written in English.
- Articles will be accepted in draft format only.
- Submissions should respect our commitment to brevity, with a suggested word count range of 300 to 800 words.
- Proofread your work for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors. All submissions must be spelling and grammar-checked and completely free of plagiarism.
- Submissions must comply with Medium’s Rules, Plagiarism Guidelines, Duplicate Content Policy, Ad-Free Policy, and Distribution Standards. Stories violating Medium’s rules will be reported. All must adhere to the Medium curation guidelines. This includes linking sources, correctly crediting photographs, and correctly using titles and subtitles.
- You must use a Title, a Subtitle, and a credited Picture in your article. Please remember to correctly format your title (first letter of each word in a capital letter only with the remainder of words in lower case)
- Respect for copyright is essential.
- Please use “PUBLISH FIVE” as one of your tags.
- Allow up to 72 hours for your article to be published.
- We will only publish 5 articles or less weekly, so please be patient.
- All submissions undergo editorial review. Our team evaluates submissions based on their quality, relevance, and adherence to our submission rules. We may provide feedback and request revisions when necessary.
- All published articles are at the discretion of PUBLISH FIVE, and we (Our Editors) have the final decision. We reserve the right to take down any article after it's published, in case of any future concerns.
- A clickbait free Headline, engaging sub-headline, etc are very important things and we do not compromise on them.
- Submissions must not be spammy. We do not publish stories solely intending to sell or promote a book, blog, service, tool, or anything we deem a product.
GUIDELINES:
- We value originality and ethical writing practices. All submissions must be the author’s original work. Plagiarism, including the unattributed use of someone else’s ideas, words, or images, is strictly prohibited. Proper citation and attribution are required when referencing external sources.
- Clear, well-structured writing is crucial. Submissions should communicate ideas effectively, engaging the reader and leaving a lasting impression. We encourage writers to craft impactful narratives and thought-provoking insights.
- Submissions are not limited to technology, culture, personal development, and impactful storytelling. We encourage writers to explore diverse topics within these themes. Submissions must be nonfiction. We do not publish fiction or poetry.
- Articles of self-promotion/self derogatory are not accepted by our editors. Submissions must be family-friendly. We reserve the right to reject offensive or inappropriate articles.
- We value diversity and inclusivity. Submissions should respect all individuals, regardless of their background, culture, or beliefs. Discriminatory or offensive content will not be accepted.
- Please allow reasonable time for our editorial team to review your submission. We will respond to submissions, whether accepted or declined.
- By submitting your work to PUBLISH FIVE, you grant us the non-exclusive right to publish and share your content on our platform. You retain ownership of your work, and proper attribution will be provided.
- Please disclose any affiliate links. A maximum of three referral/self-promotional links are allowed. Links that support facts are not counted towards this number.
- Tagging other writers is allowed, provided they have a connection with your article, mass tagging to achieve “reads” will be taken on a case-by-case basis.
- Please disclose if you have imported your article from another website. The original source must be credited and written by you. Please be certain to add links to any quotes/sayings you choose to add to your article so that the original quote can be sourced & correctly credited.
- Even if you choose to use your own photographs in any article you write, it is still imperative that you still credit the image — for example, “photograph taken by and remains the property of the author at all times.”
- Remember, whilst these are never meant to be hard and fast rules, nevertheless, the final decision to publish will always remain with the editor-on-duty
- Writers may remove stories from the publication at their discretion. However, writers who habitually pull stories without notice may lose the ability to submit them or others in the future.
- Writers whose submissions are repeatedly rejected for violating our rules may lose the ability to submit to PUBLISH FIVE without notice or explanation.
- Never ever submit work to us that already appears in another publication, even if it’s been a long time. It’s against Medium rules to have two copies up of the same story.
- We expect you to spend plenty of time revising and editing your work. That means you shouldn’t submit it after you’ve written the first draft. Sleep on it. Revisit it.
