Contentment and Freedom
Contentment with our place in life
Contentment with its rhythmic flow,
Watching new scenes unfold each day
With changing nature of what is seen.
Contentment in earth’s simple beauty
Desiring no new toys with which to play,
This contentment brings real freedom
Freedom to be who we really are.
Without contentment, inner conflict lives,
Conflict about who and what we are
Confused in thinking who should we be,
No inner peace as this conflict thrives.
Freedom liberates us without demands
Only asking we be just who we are,
Contentment with all we have right now
Our only way to be truly free.
