Dear Sally,
I know you’re actually a cat, and to my knowledge, are not able to read, but I thought a tribute to you would be a nice way to honor you!
Since we brought you home as a kitten, I have loved and adored you!
And though you hissed at me, when I carried you away from your home and mama, the only place you had ever known, I didn’t take it personally… Well, not too much. I knew you must have been scared and wondering what must be going on.
How dare I take you away from your mama who looked so much like you…??
Oh, the indignity!
The fact you are so silly and quirky, and offer comfort with your presence has a permanent place in my heart.
And though you have never offered me a massage, I’ve heard they’re quite nice. I won’t ask why… but the question remains unasked!
You are a joy to behold, and I look forward to just having you to myself if only so I don’t have to keep telling your human brother to leave you alone…
He does love you, that’s for sure. He just doesn’t know when to stop!
And since I don’t want any bites, scratches, or tears of indignation, I think it’s best to keep your contact to a minimum. I’m sure you agree.
