Ecclesiastes 9:10 (NLT)

‘Whatever you do, do well. For when you go to the grave, there will be no work or planning or knowledge or wisdom.’

To have a truly happy life, we must work at all that we do. It is wonderful to be loved and wanted, and it is also wonderful to be needed. There is a feeling of accomplishment that comes from a job well done.

Most people, even though we experience hustle and bustle, are happy when they are busy. It means something. We don’t have time to worry and fret.

Earlier in the chapter it talks about that every single one of us ultimately shares the same fate. In the end… we all meet the end. Love, hate, everything it is all gone. So this verse is a key reminder, that while you are here, whatever you do, do it well.
