When I was younger, I had a high metabolism so I ate anything and didn’t worry about gaining weight. Today, that is a different story.

Now, I have to watch what I eat to avoid gaining weight.

I don’t diet or count calories. I eat what I feel like eating, but still watch what I eat to maintain my weight.

It’s easy to splurge on junk food once in a while. I make sure I don’t do that often.

A few years before I turned 50, I saw my metabolism slow down. Instead of eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I started intermittent fasting. This isn’t medical advice, so make sure you consult your doctor first.

Now I eat two meals a day and snack in between. My first meal is around noon or lunchtime.

Then I’ll have dinner a few hours later.

I don’t have set meals I eat every week, but there are three foods I eat every day to help my metabolism.

The first food is bananas.

When I was younger, I always liked bananas. They’re not messy like peaches or watermelon.

You can eat bananas in a minute or two, and they are good for you.
