Stop waiting for the perfect moment.
We’ve all had our moments where we’ve thought the timing for something has to be perfect.
I only really started to care about my fitness journey once a few of my relatives passed away from heart problems. There’s even the case for this article, too.
I put it on pause since yesterday to go to the gym, and to write something else entirely. My excuse was I wasn’t in the right headspace to work on it.
On one hand, I get why we delay, procrastinate, or avoid particular things. Some don’t make sense to do, we don’t like the idea of it, or maybe we’re just having an off day, and trying to work on this one thing isn’t worth the hassle.
But sometimes those reasons are thinly veiled excuses we tell ourselves. Sometimes we use them as a crutch to put something off for much longer than half a day or a few hours. Sometimes we come up with so many excuses we stop even making an effort to try.
We lull ourselves into this idea that something just isn’t for us, despite the fact that we never even tried what we set off to do.
