How I Manifested My First $5,000+ Month on Medium
Here’s My Way of Making More Than $250 per Day on Medium
For some reason, topics like manifestation and law of attraction are not particularly famous here on Medium.
Many successful writers are sharing their ways of succeeding on Medium. And many of them do so pretty often and honestly.
Well, one of the reasons is that these stories often get a lot of reads and a pretty good read ratio and reading time, which, of course, results in earnings. (Which again is one of the major goals of most Medium writers.)
Stories about Medium and how to succeed on Medium don’t get curated. That’s a general rule here. Therefore, the chances of such an article going viral is smaller, yet, all of my stories about Medium got more views and especially more reads than any personal development topic (unless it was a viral post).
And guess what, in all of my articles so far, I’ve also talked about the “How-to’s”, the guidelines and the practices that worked best for me. What I also did was sharing my earnings and all my stats openly.
However, there’s one critical strategy I didn’t talk about so far:
Using the law of attraction.
If you’re going to comment on this post trying to tell me “this doesn’t work”, please jump to the next article and avoid wasting your own and my energy.
The law of attraction is a universal law. It doesn’t care if you believe in it or not. It just works.
“Whatever you hold in your mind on a consistent basis is exactly what you will experience in your life.”
— Tony Robbins
You can state you don’t believe in the force of gravity. Will it stop working for you? Will your cup of coffee fly around if you let go of it? Give it a try.
The universe always does its job, and all the universal laws are applied to you, no matter if you believe or not.
The law of attraction, which is the ability to attract into our lives whatever we are focusing on, is only one of the universal laws that exist.
You can not deny it.
I mean, sure you can, but it won’t make your life any easier.
As Brian Tracy once beautifully stated:
“You are a living magnet. What you attract into your life is in harmony with your dominant thoughts.”
Here’s how I made more than $5,800 on Medium in less than a month:
I am writing this post on the 23rd of February 2020. And according to my dashboard, my upcoming earnings for the month amount to $5,806.86.
This means that my income increased by more than 350% compared to the previous month. And there are still some more days to go, which will highly likely end up in more than $1,500, totally resulting in a monthly income of around $7,500.
I don’t know how much money you guys make per month. And I don’t know how much money is considered a significant amount of money but here’s the thing:
For me, that’s a shitload of money.
I never lacked money, I even always had enough of it, and it was because I started working at the age of 15 when I was still at high school. I grew up in a supportive family, and both of my parents have been working ever since I can remember, yet, they don’t make much money at all.
Let’s put it like that: It takes my mum around five months to earn the amount of money I made on Medium in the past 22 days.
I only had a full-time job once in my life (never say never, I know, but I don’t plan on having one more), which was an internship at a huge corporate here in Austria.
And I made around $1,200 per month working 40 hours per week at a job that sucked.
That means I had to work around half a year to make the amount of money I made on Medium in one month. (If my estimation of 7.5K is correct, of course.)
Making more than $5,000 on Medium is crazy, yet, what’s even more insane is the number of hours it took me.
I am tracking my time on productive activities for a few years now. Thus, I have a pretty good overview of how much time I spend on different projects and tasks.
Here’s my chart for the past 30 days:
82.5 hours in the past 30 days means I’ve averagely spent 2.8 hours per day writing, editing, reading, and answering comments on Medium. This time also includes reading articles from other writers.
I could actually spend 10 hours per day writing on Medium as I am self-employed anyway. It’s totally doable as I don’t have any responsibilities that would stand in my way.
However, it wasn’t necessary.
I don’t know what precisely is called a full-time income, and if there’s a solid definition for it, yet, the amount of money I made on Medium this month is far more than I need to pay my bills. I actually have an extremely low amount of fixed expenses per month, so $5,800 (or my estimated $7,500) is a good bunch of extra money.
“Whatever the mind of a man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”
— Napoleon Hill
Okay, so what’s the secret behind all of this?
If you want to know about profound Medium strategies that work well, and how to write articles that get curated, read one of these stories:
What I Learned From Writing On Medium Every Day For 31 Days
Yes, It Was A New Years Resolution
If you, however, want to know how I made all of this work by investing less than 3 hours per day and using the power of the universe, keep reading this one.
Hold on tight — we are starting with the woo-woo part of the story!
Okay, so here’s how my workplace looked for the past 23 days:
Yup, you’ve seen correctly: I’ve written myself a check of 5,000 dollars on the 1st of February with the due date being the 29th of February 2020.
Precisely, it’s a check I’ve downloaded from a website that I came across around half a year ago. You can find the checks here.
“If you can conceive it in your mind, then it can be brought to the physical world.”
— Bob Proctor
I am working at my home-office 99% of the time, so putting these checks on my walls didn’t come with any struggles or hesitation. Plus, my boyfriend is as crazy and motivated as me, so he didn’t have a problem regarding the check too, he even found it pretty cool.
Okay, …but why? Why did I put this piece of paper on my wall?!
Well, because it works.
Because my success, just like yours, depends on my mental attitude and my thoughts. And seeing my desired output, black on white, every time I sat at my desk is incredibly powerful.
“See yourself living in abundance and you will attract it. It works every time, with every person.”
— Bob Proctor
And because I believe in the power of the universe, the law of attraction, and everything else that helps me to achieve my goals with ease.
I believe I can have it all in life, and I believe this reality also counts for anyone else on this planet.
If you don’t limit yourself by your own thoughts, there’s nothing you can not achieve.
I don’t know if I need to add this, but here we go for all the doubters and naysayers: Of course, that’s only true as long as you do the necessary work.
You won’t achieve anything by sitting on the couch meditating and staring at your checks — surprise, surprise.
However, if you work your ass off and use the power the universe, you’ll surely accelerate your growth rate.
I mean, there is no proof it doesn’t work — so why not simply try?
Everything you need to succeed is already here.
And everything you desire already exists as an opportunity.
The law of attraction has been working like forever.
You can make use of it.
Or you can keep doubting your greatness and end up wondering why you didn’t achieve your desired results once again.
“Each time you make a new choice that is in alignment with your future, you are priming your brain to install the neurological hardware to actually think, act, and feel like the person you want to be in the future.”
— Dr. Joe Dispenza
I know there’s a lot of resistance and doubts regarding universal laws and manifestation. Obviously, the majority of the world either doesn’t know about it or doesn’t believe in it. Even though it’s nowadays scientifically backed up.
Well, I can not change that even though I’d love to.
But here’s the thing: I know that many Medium users, aspiring writers, and ambitious people will read this post. If you’ve continued reading up until this point, I assume you are one of those.
If you are striving for success on Medium (or anything else in life), you might already know about the apparent rules like:
- be consistent
- improve your writing
- look what other great writers do
- format your text
- spellcheck before posting
- learn how to write great headlines
- and so forth
I mean, these are pretty obvious. I know it’s inspiring to read “How to succeed on Medium” posts, I’ve also consumed hundreds of them.
But let’s be honest, there is no holy grail.
If we are sincere, what works on Medium and what doesn’t is pretty obvious.
Good writing works, consistency works, engaging with your community works, and some topics work better than others.
There are no secrets to Medium-success. None.
And that’s what I love so much about it.
However, besides following all of these obvious pieces of advice, what will make or break your success on Medium is your mind.
“The law of attraction states that whatever you focus on, think about, read about, and talk about intensely, you’re going to attract more of into your life.”
— Jack Canfield
See yourself winning, and you will. Period.
I know that some Medium writers are making a whole lot more money and reaching many more people than I do.
But I don’t care. I am just at the beginning of my journey, and I know each of them worked his ass off as well. Probably, they’ve worked much harder than I did. Plus, this is not a competition at all. There’s enough to earn for anyone, always.
Let’s admit it; my journey going from $40.55 to $7,500 in three months is pretty sexy.
Mid of December was when I decided to give writing on Medium a new try. Up until that point, I didn’t publish a lot in 2019.
As one of my stories went viral at the end of December, I decided to write daily in January. And as I achieved my goal (which was $1,000) in January, I decided to go all-in in February.
I published my very first story on Medium in July 2018. When I decided to go all-in, I’ve already published more than 200 stories here. Of course, my success was no coincidence. I already knew about the rules. I’ve already done the practice.
I was not new here. I already knew my way around.
But I am convinced my quick, exponential growth was only possible due to my limitless mind. And I know that anyone else can use this power as well.
It’s here. It’s free. Use it.
