In an ideal world, we could only have emotionally stable people who positively influence our lives, and we could easily let go of those who are not.

But this is not always the case.

Sometimes, we have people we love and don’t want to let go because they need us; other times, we have a job we can’t just quit, and we have to deal with those types of people and finally, we could have a neighbor we can’t just simply ignore.

This process can reach the point of affecting your mental health if you don’t know how to handle it correctly. Emotionally immature people can drain your patience and peace to the point of feeling like you are the one failing.

For these types of cases, here I will tell you how to deal with these types of people without affecting your mental health, the way I managed to do it with my university classmate and “best friend” until I was finally able to get out of there.

Here's a little backstory to put you in context.

Lily (fake name) and I met in the second semester of university, and we became friends because she was one of the few women in her career.
