There are so many things to be afraid of. Death. Rejection. Failure. Heartbreak.

But good things can be just as terrifying. Living. Acceptance. Success. Love.

It doesn’t matter how badly you want something — when you finally get it, it’s change. And change is uncomfortable.

When you flip the page of a book and start a new chapter, it comes with a new set of challenges. You know the character will gain insights about the world and themselves, and that they’ll either grow or screw it all up.

It’s fun to read about, but when you’re the character, it’s tempting to want to close the book and press pause on life.

And sometimes you can. When life gets tough, you can build a fort and go into hibernation if that’s what you need. But when a good thing comes your way, something you’ve been dreaming about maybe for years, that’s when you should turn the page so fast you accidentally rip it a bit.

But that can be just as scary. So, how do you go about it?
