I Started Intermittent Fasting to Lose Weight, but There Are Other Benefits

You may have heard people talk about intermittent fasting. When I first added this routine, it was to lose a few pounds because of the pandemic.
If you’re unfamiliar with intermittent fasting, here’s a short definition.
“Intermittent fasting is a pattern of eating based on time limits. For a set time of hours or days, you eat a typical diet. At the end of the set time, you switch to very few or no calories, called fasting.”
Three years later, I still intermittent fast and think it’s a great way to help maintain my weight.
While gyms were closed and limited contact was recommended at the time, I added several pounds despite doing pushups and going on daily walks.
It’s easy to put on weight if you spend a lot of time at home or don’t exercise as often as you’d like.
So I started intermittent fasting, my wife wanted to try it, so I joined her. At first, I thought it would be something I would do for a week.
