It’s funny, I used to think I had my biggest achievement all figured out, like that moment in life where you’re sure you’ve peaked. I’d look back at that one thing and feel a sense of pride. But then last night happened, and everything changed. It made me realize that what I thought was the pinnacle wasn’t even close.

Something clicked, like a lightbulb going off, and suddenly, I saw things in a whole new way. It’s crazy how life has a way of surprising you, even when you think you’ve already hit your highest point.

For most of my life, I’ve wanted to see Garth Brooks in concert.

For a very long time, I had no idea that my husband wanted to take me to see Garth Brooks. We’d priced tickets on occasion, but they were super expensive, or the timing was all wrong.

Then Garth retired.

There goes the dream.

There’s no chance of seeing him perform now.

Then came an opportunity: Garth Brooks was being inducted into the Music Hall of Fame in my hometown.

My husband wanted to make my dream come true by surprising me with tickets to the event.
