Moonlit Ocean Walk

Walking deserted moonlit beach
Darkness slowly recedes to dawn
Moonlight dances on lapping waves,
Looking eastward where sun will rise
Walking towards its beginning glow.

Salt water surging on my feet
Shells scattered askew on sand
Washed ashore when tide was high,
Tides now receding back to sea
Under fading glows of moonlit sky.

Walking eastward, ocean meets bay
Fishing boats motoring out to sea
Two lonely fishermen cast from shore,
Light increases in distant glowing sky
Gray clouds visible above the sea.

As brighter glow spreads above the sea
Fireball sun begins rising ascent
Slowly more visible on ocean horizon.
