The author in Georgia (the country)

In 2024, I visited America after 15 years and spent 6 weeks in the summer, only to return to NYC for a high-profile event in November. It was also my first time in NYC, so I made lots of discoveries there.

I also visited some European countries like Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Georgia, + a day trip to Armenia and the UK.

I try to travel to Europe every year because there’s just something about it I admire so much (apart from the fact that my body dysmorphia gets better there because I always eat lots and still lose weight — more on this soon).

But visiting the USA was such a fun time, too!

Here are some fun comparisons between travelling the two from a traveller’s perspective. That being said, I know they’re both massive places and cannot be generalised so I am only talking from my experience. Even my own country, India, is so big that I get irked at the generalisations I read and think to myself, the entire country isn’t the same. So you might feel this way too, I understand.

Walkability — my favorite exercise

I love walking and exploring. Ever since I solo travelled across Europe at 21 and fell in love…
