My Self-Help Journey Hasn’t Always Been Positive
But I am still thriving regardless.
For the first time since starting my weight loss journey, I don’t have a specific target in mind. For the past month, I’ve simply been showing up to the gym with my dad and following a simple guide.
I’ve done some cardio, cut back meal portions, and do some stretches and simple weights.
This strategy is nothing revolutionary, but my reasoning for doing so is also for one simple reason.
I just want to lose weight.
All of this hit me as a fitness coach on LinkedIn has been asking me questions about my health and my journey.
What is my training like?
What are my overall goals?
And most importantly, what key things do they need to know about my growth if they become my coach?
As great as it sounds, my overall focus is like someone just entering the self-help world: fully aware of a problem and a general sense on what to do, but there’s nothing specific to chase.
I’m just jumping in and doing my own thing with wonder and awe. I don’t need a specific direction, especially when this current strategy works.
