It’s time to start hanging out with people who are driven by things that matter.

Jim Rowen, famous businessman and entrepreneur is often attributed with saying:

You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.

Rowen’s idea has gained popularity, and while the premise of his concept is essential, it needs a facelift.

The people who you hold closest, the ones you spend the most time with affect your thinking. They have an impact on your success, so it’s essential to choose them carefully. If you continue to try to fit in with the crowd you will never stand out. Dare to be different. If the group is going one way, you should run the other way.

Stop hanging out with people who pull you down.

Instead, surround yourself with people who are high-performers.
