I read for several hours per day. And while I normally refrain from writing negative book reviews, I need to make an exception. Some self-help books are overhyped and aren’t worth your time.

Here are 5 examples:

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson

There are too many f-bombs in this book.

The author took some cliche self-help advice, added a few swear words, and called it the best book ever written. Mark also appears to have a strong ego because he can’t go through a single chapter without mentioning what a great pickup artist he once was.

If you enjoy listening to self-indulgent dudes and a little bit of mansplaining, you’ll love The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck. Otherwise, avoid this book at all costs.
