The happiest people I’ve ever met read lots of books. Because as Ryan Holiday says, “It’s part of the human experience. It helps you find meaning, understand yourself, and make your life better.”

So, in this article, I’ll share three books that will help you to think about happiness in a completely different way. They’ll also inspire you to create a life that involves waking up smiling each morning.

Let’s dive right in!

The Happiness Hypothesis by Jonathan Haidt

Jonathan Haidt is a Professor of Ethical Leadership at the New York University Stern School of Business. He’s also the author of The Happiness Hypothesis — a bestselling book.

Jonathan challenges the modern notion of achieving happiness via consumerism and spending money on crap we don’t need. Then, he uses ancient wisdom to explain how to be happy in the 21st century.

Within days of finishing Jonathan’s book, I began waking up smiling each morning. It also became 10x easier to practice gratitude and be grateful for every moment spent with loved ones.

The Happiness Hypothesis is a fascinating book!
