The Inner Shift to Silence Any Self-Doubt
Overcoming self-doubt is learning to overcome blocking yourself
This morning I found another content creator that resonates with me. She’s in the midst of building a community for herself and invites people to join her community — whether that’s her discord server or her Twitch channel.
Being a guy who loves cute things and has hard lone wolf tendencies, I want to be encouraging myself to get out there. To be part of communities and find my own way of fitting in.
But one of the barriers that I run into a lot is I find excuses for me to disengage from all that. Whether it’s social groups like these, or something else, I always find a way to jump in only to distance myself afterwards for no reason.
The real reason I do this comes to me cooking in self-doubt, creating these boogeyman scenarios that are not likely to happen. As justified as they might be, what’s happening in reality is a stark comparison to what is playing out in my fantasy-driven nightmare.
And while this particular scenario in my own life is relatively small, I am aware that people experience these kinds of situations for bigger and much larger things.
