The “Perfect” Routine Doesn’t Exist
So stop looking for it.
I wake up when my body tells me it’s time. Sometimes it is 6:30 AM, sometimes 7:43 AM, and sometimes 3:24 AM. I immediately grab my phone and play a round of Mario Kart. Then I go to my computer to see if my mind is well enough to write something. Sometimes I come up with 3000 words, sometimes 500, and sometimes I hate everything. I don’t force it when I’m not in the mood. Even when it is my main source of income. I have learned to have peace with myself in this aspect.
I eat eggs every day because they are the cheapest and easiest breakfast option I know. My dream is to be able to make those fancy breakfasts that are on TikTok, but I hate cooking, and I know I would quickly get tired of having to make them every day. My most productive hours are in the morning because I'm not distracted by texts, and I don’t talk to anyone, so I try not to waste time on things that aren’t necessary.
I have lunch with my mom every day. She lives four houses away from me, so I always walk there. I don’t use an umbrella because it feels too close, but I always complain about the sun every time I get to her house.
I spend two hours there every day. After lunch, I help her with the dishes, and we watch an episode of a Mexican soap opera. I never miss those two hours, no matter how busy my…
