Thriving Spirit

Mind sometimes overwhelmed
Too many circulating thoughts,
But spirit still thrives inwardly,
Love, peace and fanciful wishes
For our world and all its peoples.

Spirit is what really matters
Light guiding me in what I do
Rising past thoughts and feelings,
Awareness of bright inner light
Comforts me in changing times.

Drifting thoughts will soon depart
Most not important in how I live
Superfluous, unwanted distractions,
Warm camaraderie with other people
More important than random thoughts.

Pleasure in my thriving spirit
While letting it be my guide.
