We Hear Your Frustration, And We Feel It Too
Boost feels broken.
We’re hearing from all kinds of writers who are frustrated that their articles used to Boost, but they don’t seem to be winning the award right now.
Officially, Medium has said that they are fighting fraud, and presumably, AI has changed the landscape, too, but that doesn’t mean that your questions about how the program works through these times are answered.
Many are wondering whether they should continue to write without transparency when it feels like everything is going down the tubes.
Many are bailing and going to other platforms. Some of the biggest and brightest minds are going into a state of self-preservation and strengthening their presence in other areas.
Sometimes, I, too, feel taken for granted, strengthening the platform that seems to pay out diddly squat.
Some writers are only after Boost; they are transactional writers who only want what can be done for them — building their own skills, talents, and ‘free’ editing — and are as fickle as the nomination itself. Others are die-hard friends to the end.
Then there are people like Michael Horner, Tom Handy, Neeramitra Reddy, J.R. HEIMBIGNER, George J. Ziogas and so many others who brighten my day.
