300+ practice problems

Over 120 hours

And almost 9 years of study and experience

These are only the most notable accomplishments of all the hard work I’ve put into the test I’ll be taking on Friday.

I’m a Civil Engineer, and to become licensed in the U.S. I am required to meet multiple requirements. One of which is the 8-hour Principles and Practice of Engineering exam I’m taking this Friday.

Is it weird to say that I’m actually excited to take it?

I mean, I’m going to be over the moon when it’s over, for sure. But after working at this for years, I’ve gone from test anxiety to excitement to prove how much I’ve learned.

I see the test as a challenge. I’ve come to enjoy challenges, as long as I prepare for them.

When you prepare well for something important, you won’t be afraid of it.

You might even enjoy it.

I’ve known this test was coming for a while now. At first, I was terrified at the thought of sitting down for two 4-hour sessions…
