Working on a Beach Sucks

One of the biggest ‘benefits’ of freelancing is actually one of the reasons I hate being one.

Since I started working in an office, one of my dreams was to be a freelancer. I hated dressing up without style, dealing with traffic, and sticking to a schedule every day.

But most of all, I wanted to feel free.

This thought intensified when I started meeting people with this lifestyle. My friends traveled a lot, worked anywhere in the world, and looked available to do whatever they wanted every day. Every time I opened social media, I felt a deep desire to live the life they showed.

So, in 2021, I finally found the courage to be a freelance girl.

My plan was to travel to different countries and take advantage of being free to be wherever I wanted, so in the last three years, I have traveled around eight times.

The problem is that contrary to what I thought being a freelancer and traveling around the world was, I hated every second of it.

Working while traveling has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had.

The first trip I took was to the United States (Boston and New York) to see my best friend and family.
