Puffer & Ethos: Innovating Cosmos Chain Security
We’re excited to announce our partnership with Ethos, an innovative and prominent force in the rapidly growing Cosmos interchain ecosystem.
Currently in the Cosmos ecosystem, replicated and delegated security models are limited with a combined state of <$15B. Ethos is a security coordination layer that enables Cosmos chains to leverage the economic security of restaked ETH. Through this partnership, Cosmos chains can now tap into the pooled security of Puffer’s natively restaked ETH to bootstrap their trust layer while Puffer node operators will be able to earn additional yield from the expanding Cosmos ecosystem.
Puffer and Ethos will work closely to fully leverage the partnership, synergizing efforts. Upon activation of attributable slashing features, Puffer will work with Ethos to establish a minimum amount of attributable security. Puffer will provide operational support to ensure smooth operations and efficiency. Furthermore, Puffer will foster collaboration with operators who are committed to supporting Ethos. This collaborative approach will enhance both Cosmos chains and Puffer operators. Last but not least, Puffer is dedicated to protecting all our operators and restakers from slashing. Puffer and Ethos will engage in research focused on developing anti-slasher strategies to secure Ethos restaked operators effectively.
