DENVER (AP) — The Denver Public Library is asking for help documenting the recent Women’s March on Denver, during which more than 100,000 people took to the Colorado city’s streets.

The Denver Post reports that the library’s Western History and Genealogy Department put out a call for donations on the day after the march.

Acquisitions Librarian Jamie Seemiller said last week that the library has already received several items, including a symbolic sash with “Suffragettes” printed on it, pink cat-eared “pussyhats” worn by marchers and 20 to 30 posters. Seemiller says the library is open to collecting more of those items on a case-by-case basis and is also looking for photos of marchers holding their signs during the rally.

Seemiller says the material is being collected primarily for research and historical purposes.
