So you want to head out for a night of live music, but aren’t sure about the artist in question? Maybe a friend invites you out to see a band you’ve never heard before? We’ve all been there. So we’ve done something about it.
The Live Show mixtape showcases a bit of everything. No matter if you’re into pop or country, punk and hardcore, reggae, hip hop or EDM, there’s something for everyone to discover and enjoy. So tune in, turn up and go find your new favorite live act.
Friday January 20th
- TERRAVITA are bound to bring the proverbial house down with their sweet sweet drumstep DJ set at Rawkus, along with help from local up-and-comer T-Wreks.
- CO Springs Metalcore outfit Hit the Shadows shreds a headlining set atop an all-local bill of sin at the Black Sheep.
- If you dig on soulful country and Americana sounds a la Shania Twain or Allison Krauss, Hillary Scott will treat you right at Colorado Springs bar and venue the Zodiac Bar.
Saturday January 21st
- The Black Sheep holds a release show for Springs band Casket Path’s dark and melodic hardcore with fellow Springsters Dead Set & more.
- The Tejon Street Corner Thieves bring their 151 proof revved up punk-A-billy bluegrass stampede to Jack Quinn’s Irish Pub in downtown Colorado Springs.
- Colorado based Triple Nickel two-step their way into Brues Alehouse in Pueblo to serenade the Steel City with both kinds of music; country AND western!
Sunday January 22nd
- Looking for something a little classier? The Pikes Peak Center and the Colorado Springs Philharmonic host a lovely evening of Beethoven and Tchaikovsky’s finest compositions both Saturday and Sunday.
- Hot rock and chill reggae collide with Pueblo trio Chivalry as they put their monthly artist residency to good use at the Riverside Bar.
Gigs Up the Road
- Searching for that old reggae sound? Tickets are now on sale as Brues Alehouse hosts legendary Jamaican reggae pioneers the Wailers Wednesday, January 25th.
- Dig Sublime? If so, reggae rockers Passafire bring their cool-as-California sound and chill tunes to the Black Sheep Thursday January 26th.
